003Casa tortuga (turtle house), an existing monolithic all concrete structure, is a project that was based in respect for it´s previous users: a mexican family that moved to Austin in hopes of finding a better living.
Every space was modified to comply with the basic concepts of comfort, maintaining the essence that makes it unique.
With the use of glass in the exterior walls, the house stops closing in on itself and becomes transparent towards its context and prides itself on the story that made this project possible.
